Samsung E950

The Samsung E950 is obviously the successor of Samsung E900. Available in silver / black, and using a mixture of metal and plastic finishes, the E950 just looks so good.
There's a lot of attention to detail in the finish, and the smart metal back panel looks very nice.
Both handsets feature full touch sensitive navigation throughout the phone’s interface.
The E950 changes the user interface to a hybrid system. There are two parts to the user interface: a numeric keypad that slides out when needed, and a touch-sensitive pad below the main display that Samsung call a DAC Pad. Within the DAC pad, the touch-sensitive buttons are virtual and context-sensitive.
The Samsung E950 measures 98 x 46 x 15 mm, which doesn’t make it the slimmest slider currently available, but in terms of size the Samsung E950 is pretty compact and even light.
The mobile makes good use of metal and matt black plastic.
The design is very nice and the constriction seems pretty solid. Thanks to the touch-sensitive elements on the front panel, the surface is smooth and there are no keys sticking out.
When the handset powers up, you will see that the touchpad display has red backlighting and white fonts.
The E950 features a new graphical user interface with animated icons.
The display is a good quality LCD panel with 262k colors, and a Sunlight mode that increases brightness and contrast for use outdoors.
The camera is rated at 3.2 megapixels and is equipped with an LED flash, mirror which will help you for self-portraits and a 4x digital zoom. The camera can also record video clips of up to 1 hour's duration.
As well as a music player, the E950 has a built-in FM radio with RDS that can automatically tune into the available stations and store your favourite stations in memory.
The microSD memory card bed is hot-swap enabled – you can exchange cards without turning the phone off. The Samsung E950 features a pretty much standard Li-Ion Battery with a capacity of 900 mAh.
The battery will keep the E950 running for around 3 days when used moderately.
